How to block website using on Your NETWORK....
There are several reasons to block certain websites on your network. You may not want your employees visiting personal websites, or you may not want your children visiting inappropriate sites. There are plenty of software programs that allow you to block websites. However, Windows 7 allows you to block websites on your network without spending any money
Click on the "Start" menu.
Type "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" (without the quotation marks) into the "Search Programs and Files" box and press "Enter."
Double-click on the "Hosts" file.
Double-click "Notepad" when asked to choose the program you want to use to open the file.
At the bottom of the file, type "127.0.0.1 www.blockingsite1.com" (without the quotation marks). Note that "www.blockingsite1.com" should be replaced with the website address that you want to block. If you have more than one website that you want to block, simply repeat this step.
Click "File" and then "Save"
